Number of Journalists Killed in Palestine Since Escalation of Conflict Revealed

The number of casualties among media workers in the Gaza Strip has reached 173 since the start of the war, the Palestinian National Authority's government press service reported on Sunday.

“The number of journalists killed since the beginning of the genocide in the Gaza Strip has reached 173, including journalist colleague Abdullah Shakhsaki, who worked with several Arab media outlets,” the statement said.

The Palestinian government has strongly condemned the killings of Palestinian journalists by Israeli military forces. “We demand that the international community and international organizations, especially those related to media operations, prevent the occupiers and hold them accountable in international courts for the crimes they have committed,” the document states.

According to the latest report from the Palestinian Ministry of Health, published Sunday morning, the number of people killed due to Israeli strikes in the Gaza Strip has reached 41,206, with 95,337 people injured. In the last 24 hours, 24 Palestinians have been killed, and 57 injured due to Israeli airstrikes.
