Disastrous Flood in Poland

Severe flooding has struck southern Poland due to heavy rainfall. The river has overflowed in Kłodzko, prompting the mayor to close the city's entrances.

In the Silesia region, some roads have been flooded, creating difficulties for traffic. The mayor of Prudnik has urged residents to evacuate, stating, "It’s better to lose property than life." Several hundred people have already been evacuated, and additional evacuations are likely to be necessary.

Four thousand military personnel are involved in the rescue operations. Major floods in Central Europe are expected to also affect the Czech Republic, Eastern Germany, and other countries in the region. Flooding is anticipated in Prague, Wrocław, and Dresden.
