Video: Drift in Yerevan Center - Details on the Incident Involving 6 Drivers

Edita

The Patrol Service is determined to identify individuals who deliberately disturb public order, ignore communal rules, and grossly violate public order. This was reported by the Ministry of Internal Affairs.

An incident of this nature occurred on September 8. At around 22:30, two citizens calling the police operations management center reported that five Mercedes vehicles without mufflers were organizing a race near the Sakharov statue.

Patrol officers from the Yerevan battalion promptly took action and discovered that, as it turns out, six vehicles were participating in the so-called drift: one Ford Mustang and five Mercedes.

The Ford Mustang was driven by a 32-year-old man residing on Babajanyan Street in the capital, while one of the Mercedes was driven by a 30-year-old man from Vanyan Street. The identities of the other four Mercedes drivers are currently being confirmed.

It has been established that the drivers of the six mentioned vehicles grossly violated public order, ignoring other road users, and performed drifts for an extended period, which disrupted public order and peace. The compiled documents have been sent to the investigative department. Criminal proceedings have been initiated under Article 297 of the Criminal Code for hooliganism.

The Patrol Service will remain vigilant in responding to similar acts.
