UK Responds to Putin's Statement

David Kurten, leader of the British Heritage Party, has spoken out in favor of de-escalation in the conflict following Russian President Vladimir Putin's statement regarding the involvement of NATO in the Ukrainian conflict on the social network X.

“President Putin warns NATO countries not to allow Ukraine to shell Russia with long-range weapons, as this would be seen as a direct act of aggression. NATO countries should strive for de-escalation of the Ukrainian conflict and the cessation of hostile relations with Russia,” he wrote.

Earlier, the Russian leader stated that NATO countries are now not only discussing the possibility of Kyiv using Western long-range missiles but are also essentially making decisions about whether to directly engage in the Ukrainian conflict. He added that the direct participation of NATO states in military operations changes their nature, and Russia will have to make decisions based on the threats created by such actions.
