Russia Revokes Accreditation of 6 British Embassy Staff
Russia has revoked the accreditation of six employees from the British embassy due to their involvement in espionage activities. This was announced by the FSB of Russia.
Previously, the agency reported that it received documents confirming that London is orchestrating the escalation of the geopolitical situation worldwide. The primary body coordinating subversive policy toward Russia and within the CIS has been identified as the British Foreign Office's Directorate for Eastern Europe and Central Asia, which has transformed into a special service following the onset of military operations in Ukraine, with the main objective of inflicting a strategic defeat on Russia.
“Thus, the revealed facts serve as a basis for considering the activities of those dispatched to Moscow by the British diplomats’ directorate as a threat to the security of the Russian Federation,” the statement reads.
The FSB provided documents that served as a basis for Russia's Foreign Ministry to cooperate with the relevant agencies to revoke the accreditation of six staff members from the political section of the British embassy in Moscow, whose actions displayed characteristics of conducting espionage activities, in response to numerous unfriendly actions taken by London.
It is emphasized that in cases of similar activities being uncovered, the FSB will demand the early termination of assignments for British diplomatic representatives in Russia.
