I Would Like Us Not to Chase Daily Likes
Our biggest problem is that we put children into boxes, said Minister of Education and Science Zhanna Andreasyan during a meeting with journalists, adding that it is up to teachers to decide what programs the children should follow.
“The teacher must evaluate and determine whether this program allows the child to think outside the box. If it does, then the problem is solved. Today’s issues require non-standard approaches and creative solutions. We cannot close the doors of schools and think that citizens will be able to respond correctly to these issues when they are outside of school. I would like us not to chase daily likes. What we are doing does not help improve the quality of education. What you present here leads to daily likes, rather than an educational conversation,” Andreasyan emphasized.
