EU Countries Engage in Talks to Limit Russian Diplomats' Movement in Schengen Zone

EU countries are in discussions regarding the limitation of Russian diplomats' movement within the Schengen zone, stated Christian Wagner, a representative of Germany's Foreign Ministry. "Currently, negotiations on this issue are ongoing at the European level," he said.

Earlier, Politico reported, citing a letter addressed to EU's High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Josep Borrell, that foreign ministers from eight EU countries have requested restrictions on the movement of Russian diplomats in European nations as part of a new package of sanctions against Russia.
