Video: Tourist Struck by Lightning in Batumi Miraculously Survives
A 32-year-old Russian man from Samara was struck by lightning in Georgia. He survived the incident, according to the SHOT Telegram channel.
According to the television channel's reports, Pavel Smirnov had gone on vacation to Batumi with his brother and friends. On the evening of September 11, they gathered at a pier to film a dance video and enjoy the sunset. During the dance, suddenly there was a loud clap of thunder, and a powerful electrical current struck Pavel.
He fell to the ground, and his clothing caught fire. Medical personnel arrived at the scene and transported him to the hospital with burns to his abdomen, back, and legs. Doctors were astonished that the man survived the strike and did not sustain serious injuries. He is currently in a hospital in Batumi.
