This is Armenia's choice, and that choice is not beneficial for them: Hajizadeh
Work is underway to open communications via Iran. This was announced by Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry spokesman Ayhan Hajizadeh.
According to him, Armenia is "distorting" the trilateral agreement of November 9, which contains specific obligations regarding the opening of communications.
“We regret this. Item 9 of the trilateral document contains specific obligations regarding the opening of communications. If Armenia insists on its current stance, Azerbaijan has alternative options. One of them is to conduct communications through Iran. Certain work is being done in this direction. If Armenia continues its policy of self-isolation, then that is its own choice. And that choice is not beneficial for them,” Hajizadeh said.
