The Collapse of the Russian IT Sector Begins

Starting today, U.S. sanctions against Russia come into effect, under which the United States has prohibited its citizens and companies from providing a range of information technology services in Russian territory. This means that consulting and IT support services in the IT sector are now under restriction.

Companies such as Sentry, Recraft, Notion, Wix, Hubspot, Coda, Miro, ClickUp, and dozens of others are set to exit the Russian market. Accounts on almost all of these services will be blocked, and all projects, files, and websites will be permanently deleted.

IT specialists are already preparing to disconnect services such as Google, Figma, and Zoom. Last week, users in Russia faced issues registering new accounts with Gmail using Russian phone numbers. Google has also created problems, and Russian media reports that it has not commented on what restrictions can be expected in the future.
