In Our Country, Two Things Are Done Quickly: Driving and Eating, Says Pashinyan
Everything in our country is incredibly slow. This was stated by Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan during a government meeting, expressing dissatisfaction with the pace of the country's development.
According to him, two things are done quickly in our country: we are only able to reach high speeds while driving or around the dining table. “...When you slowly step on the gas and try to accelerate as much as possible, and also eat quickly, causing as much harm as you can to your health,” he emphasized.
Pashinyan noted that the government is also moving very slowly, thinking slowly, and the decision-making process is slow. “The ability to analyze and understand the situation is also slow, and our mentality in responding to circumstances is slow as well. We need speed. Speed is part of professionalism because it can be a very good lifesaver; one may know everything very well, but the speed of opening that ‘grant’ is tied to people's lives. Our ambulance service is also slow,” he stated.
According to Pashinyan, this is the reason we are lagging behind in life.
