ARF Supreme Body Member Gerasim Vardanyan to Remain in Custody
The Court of Appeals of Armenia, presided over by Arsen Nikooyan, has rejected the special review application submitted by the lawyers regarding the decision to keep Gerasim Vardanyan in custody for one month. This was reported by lawyer Sose Chandoyan.
It should be noted that on June 16, it was announced that Gerasim Vardanyan had been detained for two months. He is involved in one of the criminal proceedings and is accused of materially incentivizing participants of the "Tavush for the Homeland" movement. The Investigative Committee of Armenia had previously stated that criminal charges had been initiated against two individuals for providing money to the participants of the rally.
