They are stealing our soldier's and pensioner's money that should be given: MP

Recently, there have been frequent instances where gas stations, particularly liquid gas stations, refuse to conduct transactions in a cashless manner. This was said by MP Armen Khachatryan from the 'Civil Contract' faction during a discussion in parliament, drawing the attention of the State Revenue Committee (SRC) to the issue.

“People present their bank cards, and it is claimed that the card machine is not working, and this can last for 1 month, 2 months, or even 3 months. Personally, I have warned several times, and there have been no consequences following my warnings. This happens especially during periods when gas prices rise sharply. When there is a sudden increase, it is clearly observed that everyone starts to avoid cashless transactions, deceiving our citizens by claiming that these machines are not functioning. People should realize that our soldier's and pensioner's money, which should be given to them, is being stolen,” said the MP.

He also addressed the SRC, stating, “You can easily analyze this problem. For instance, if a business conducted cashless transactions amounting to 1 million a month ago and then, all of a sudden, stops cashless transactions for a whole month, monitoring this electronically is very easy.” The MP added that the SRC's operational bodies should respond to the problem and initiate appropriate proceedings.
