Exceptional Footage: How a Man Armed with a Combat Pistol was Neutralized in Yerevan
On September 9, operational information was received at the 5th Division of the Criminal Investigation Department of the Yerevan Police by the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Armenia that a citizen was in possession of a combat pistol on Amiryan Street.
According to shamshyan.com, the armed man was located in a crowded area. Police monitored him for about 20 minutes before they were confident they could safely neutralize him. In a short period, the suspect was found lying face down on the asphalt.
During a personal search, a loaded Makarov-type combat pistol with six rounds was discovered, as well as a metal package containing a crystalline substance weighing a total of 0.2 grams.
The armed man, identified as 40-year-old Gor N. from Yerevan, was taken to the central police department, where documents regarding the incident were processed and he was handed over to the Investigation Department of the Investigative Committee of Armenia for Yerevan and the administrative districts of Norq-Marash.
Notice: The individual suspected or charged with the alleged crime is presumed innocent until proven guilty as per the procedures defined in the Criminal Procedure Code of the Republic of Armenia, by a court decision that has entered into legal force.
