Death Toll from Fuel Tanker Accident in Nigeria Reaches 59
The death toll from a fuel tanker explosion in Nigeria has reached 59, according to Punch.
Reports indicate that the tanker driver lost control, causing the vehicle to overturn and catch fire. Subsequently, the burning tanker collided with a roadside train carrying over 60 passengers and 50 cows, along with two other vehicles.
Preliminary information suggests that the tanker’s brakes had malfunctioned. Authorities do not rule out the possibility that the death toll may increase.
