15 Minutes for Drivers of Damaged Vehicles

In Yerevan, traffic comes to a standstill after even minor incidents, making this issue a top priority for the city. This was stated by Yerevan’s Mayor Tigran Avinyan during a session of the city council, addressing the lengthy presence of damaged vehicles on the road during traffic accidents.

“We need to discuss this with our partners. This solution should have no alternatives; other derivative solutions are no longer in our field. However, the problem exists, and it is our responsibility, creating serious issues on our roads,” said Avinyan.

It is noteworthy that changes have been made to the “Law on Ensuring Road Traffic Safety” at the mayor's directive, which stipulates that damaged vehicles must be removed from the traffic lane within 15 minutes following a traffic accident.
