Yerevan Deputy Mayor Conspires Against Mayor, Claims 'Zhoghovurd'
Political intrigues have always surrounded representatives of the ruling team throughout different times, but the conspiracies under Nikol Pashinyan's rule are particularly pronounced. The name Armen Pambukhchyan often comes up in this context.
Reports are circulating in the political corridors that Yerevan Deputy Mayor Armen Pambukhchyan is allegedly conspiring within the team to become the mayor at any cost. The newspaper 'Zhoghovurd' reached out to Deputy Mayor Pambukhchyan to clarify whether the information about his conspiracies within the team to become mayor is accurate.
In response to the question, Pambukhchyan stated, 'Throughout my entire life, both in my professional and political career, I have never conspired against anyone, especially not against my teammates or friends. That's not my character or style.'
While Pambukhchyan deftly avoided the specific question, the operational style of the ruling 'Civil Contract' party points to a different reality. Clearly intertwined with local businessmen or, as they say, the 'previous elites,' Armen Pambukhchyan is reshaping his own welfare issues, ensuring a subsidy of 102 million drams for his retired father, backed by businessmen affiliated with the 'previous elites.'
