Zakharova Accuses Britain of Involvement in Ukrainian Drone Attack in Rostov Region
The official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry, Maria Zakharova, stated on September 4 that the Ukrainian drones that attacked a fuel depot in the Rostov region on August 3 were assembled on British territory. In this regard, the ministry is developing a response plan, although further details were not disclosed.
According to a statement published on the ministry's website, an examination of the components of the Ukrainian drones revealed that their flight controller's initial configuration was carried out in England, near Salisbury, and in Wales, near Newport.
"The true sponsorship and involvement of Great Britain in preparing attacks on our country's civilian infrastructure and population places the entire burden of responsibility for the ongoing bloodshed on London and its Kyiv puppets," the Foreign Ministry's statement said.
Zakharova noted that the ministry is choosing an algorithm for response actions and reminded that on May 6, the Russian Federation officially warned Great Britain: "Any British military object and equipment in Ukraine and beyond could become a target for retaliation against Zelensky's regime, which uses British weapons on our territory." According to the ministry, the drone was assembled in the Vyshhorod district of Kyiv region and launched near Sloviansk in the territories of the DPR occupied by the Armed Forces of Ukraine. On August 3, Vladimir Savin, the head of the administration of the Kamensky district in Rostov region, reported that a fire broke out in the fuel depot located at base number 7 due to the drone attack.
