VIDEO: Lviv Under Missile Attack, Casualties Reported
During the night, several regions of Ukraine were subjected to mass missile and drone strikes. Air raid alerts were sounded in Lviv, Kyiv, and Sumy, among others. This information is reported by the BBC Russian service.
In Lviv, according to local authorities, three people have died, and 35 have been injured. Several residential buildings in the main railway station area have caught fire, and windows have been shattered in the homes. Classes have been canceled at two schools due to the shelling.
In Kryvyi Rih, five people have been injured, and a hospital has been damaged.
Furthermore, following the missile strike on one of the branches of the Poltava Communication Institute on September 3, the death toll has risen to 51, with 271 injuries reported. Earlier reports mentioned 41 casualties. A three-day mourning period has been declared in Poltava.
Meanwhile, Russia's Defense Ministry has reported that air defense systems shot down four Ukrainian drones in the Belgorod and Kursk regions, as well as in the airspace over the Black Sea.
