The Situation at the Kursk Nuclear Power Plant is More Dangerous than at the Zaporizhzhia NPP, Director Says
The situation at the Kursk nuclear power plant is more dangerous in terms of external influences compared to the Zaporizhzhia NPP. This was stated by Yuriy Chernichuk, the director of the Zaporizhzhia nuclear power plant, in an interview with RIA Novosti.
It is worth mentioning that today, Rafael Grossi, the Director General of the IAEA, visited the nuclear plant, after which the IAEA published a new report on its efforts to maintain nuclear safety amid the ongoing conflict in Ukraine.
"The Kursk NPP has a slightly different design, and it is less protected from external influences such as military operations, shelling, and drones. Since it is an operational facility, it is in a more dangerous situation in terms of external influences than our plant is currently," Chernichuk said.
