Russian servicemen have repelled two assaults by the Ukrainian Armed Forces near the settlements of Malaya Loknya and Komarovka in the Kursk region, according to the Russian Defense Ministry.

According to the agency's data, attempts at assaults by the Ukrainian Armed Forces were also thwarted in the areas of Korenyevo, Olgovka, and Pograbki.

The enemy has lost an armored combat vehicle and three vehicles, with two Ukrainian servicemen being taken prisoner.

Russian troops also targeted the personnel and equipment of six brigades of the Ukrainian Armed Forces in the areas of Apanasovka, Borki, Vishnevka, Viktorovka, Gordeyevka, Krasnoktyabrskoe, Knyazhiy Pervy, Kubatkino, Lyubimovka, Martinovka, Malaya Loknya, Novoivanovka, Orlovka, Obukhivka, Snagosta, and Uspenovka.

Strikes were also carried out against enemy personnel and reserve equipment in the neighboring Sumy region.

Over the past day, Ukrainian Armed Forces losses amounted to up to 450 servicemen and 17 pieces of equipment, while total losses in the Kursk region during the assault have exceeded 9,700 servicemen and more than 1,200 units of equipment.

Fighting in the Kursk region has been ongoing since August 6. The Russian Defense Ministry has reported an increase in the tempo of assaults in the DPR.

Since then, the agency has reported the establishment of control over several settlements, including New York (Nizhny Novgorod), south of Toretsk (Dzherzhinsk), and southeast of Pokrovsk.
