Putin Identifies the Main Cause of the Tragedy in Ukraine
Russian President Vladimir Putin, in an interview with the Mongolian publication 'Onodor,' stated that the primary cause of the tragedy in Ukraine is the targeted anti-Russian policies of Western countries led by the United States. The text of the interview was published on the Kremlin's website.
“For decades, they have sought to establish complete control over Ukraine. They have financed nationalist and anti-Russian organizations there, systematically sowing the idea that Russia is allegedly Ukraine's eternal enemy, the main threat to its existence,” noted the Russian leader.
According to Putin, Ukraine has become an object of bargaining in the geopolitical ambitions of Western countries, which view Ukraine as a tool in the fight against the Russian Federation. The Russian president also described the current situation as a logical result of the destructive strategy of the collective West. As a result, Ukraine's official ideology has become hostility towards the Russian language, including canonical Orthodoxy and the Russian language itself, Putin added.
