Armenia Has Removed Several Key Points from the Agreement Draft: Bayramov

The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Azerbaijan, Jeyhun Bayramov, commented on the negotiations regarding the peace treaty with Armenia. He stated, “Armenia has removed several important points from the draft peace agreement,” adding that Azerbaijan will also present its counter-proposals.

According to Bayramov, there are additional criteria that could allow for the signing of a peace agreement, and the choice is up to Armenia. He emphasized that Armenia must relinquish its territorial claims, particularly towards its neighbors, with Azerbaijan being foremost. “Attempts to compare the constitutions of Armenia and Azerbaijan are inappropriate. We informed the Armenian side about the existence of this issue two years ago. At that time, they made no demands concerning Azerbaijan’s constitution. Azerbaijan’s Constitution does not contain territorial claims against any neighboring state, including Armenia,” the Azerbaijani side states.
