Unprecedented Rainfall Recorded in Yerevan on August 30, Says Hydro-Meteorological and Monitoring Center

On the evening of August 30, rain resulted in the accumulation of stormwater in certain areas of the capital. According to the Hydro-Meteorological and Monitoring Center, the precipitation levels were unprecedented, measuring 17-18 mm. This amount exceeded the monthly norm for rainfall by twofold.

Staff from the Yerevan municipality's sanitation agency, the Ministry of Emergency Situations' rescue service, and Veolia Water are actively engaged in removing the water accumulations caused by the rain. This was reported by the Yerevan municipality.
