VIDEO: Pashinyan Addresses the Issue of Returning Ruben Vardanyan
During a press conference, Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan addressed the issue of the return of former Artsakh Prime Minister Ruben Vardanyan, raising several important questions.
"What happened? How did it come about that Ruben Vardanyan, who holds Russian citizenship, refused? Who advised him or ordered him to take that step? Who sent him to Armenia with what purpose, guarantees, assurances, and promises?" Pashinyan said.
He added, "And who in the end said, 'You know, we don’t really know him that well, because he is a citizen of another country.' Do we want to have answers to these questions, or not?"
Pashinyan emphasized that this is indeed a serious issue that needs to be addressed. "I don’t want to discuss additional complications and provide details right now, but I want to say that the successful implementation of the peace agenda is also important for this issue. Moreover, it is not mandatory for the final outcome to be successful; what matters is a successful process, a normal working atmosphere, and the gradual building of mutual trust. I mean, no question should be extracted from this complex mechanism to be considered separately because all questions are interconnected," he stated.
