VIDEO: Armenia Did Not Commit Sabotage, Says Pashinyan on Allegations
If the Republic of Armenia intends to reject the statement of November 9, 2020, it will announce it. This was stated by Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan during a meeting with reporters.
“The statement of November 9 should not be viewed episodically, but in its entirety, including the context of prisoners of war and hostages,” he stated.
Essentially responding to the remarks of Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov, Pashinyan noted that the statement attempted to suggest that the regional communications were not opening due to Armenia's sabotage.
“The regional communications have not opened until now also because of a number of comments from some Russian partners that are not related to the logic of the November 9 document and contradict it. Often these comments contradict the formulations of the November 9 statement by the President of Russia,” Pashinyan emphasized, questioning how a country that accuses Armenia of sabotage in this matter could act as a mediator in the opening of regional communications.
“An institution that makes such a statement has already excluded itself from all possible mediation. Where have you seen a mediator present accusations, completely unfounded, and then sit down and say, 'Let's mediate'?” he declared.
He assured that the implementation of the 'Peace Crossroad' project proposed by Armenia could start as early as tomorrow, which has received approval from international partners.
