Armenia Suspends Participation in CSTO at All Levels

The Prime Minister of Armenia, Nikol Pashinyan, stated during a press conference today at the Karen Demirchyan Sports Complex that Armenia has suspended its participation in the Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO) at all levels. He deemed this decision sufficient at the current stage.

Responding to a question about what further actions would lead Armenia to withdraw from the CSTO, Pashinyan noted, “There can be debates; one may say this is sufficient, while another may argue it is not. But we must consider who has the evaluative authority. I respect all opinions, but we have made the decision we have made.”

He added, “At this moment, we do not see the need to make another decision, which does not mean that we won’t see the need for another decision at a future point.”
