The Armenian Nuclear Power Plant Exits the Power System
The Armenian Nuclear Power Plant has exited the electric power system. At 21:54 today, as a result of the Armenian Nuclear Power Plant leaving the electric power system, the automation of the "Shahumyan 2" substation, owned by the "High Voltage Electric Networks" company, was disconnected in emergency mode.
This information has been reported to the media by the Nuclear Power Plant. As a result of the disconnection, several administrative districts of Yerevan, as well as regions of Ejmiadzin and Armavir, experienced power outages. Electricity supply to the administrative districts of Yerevan and Armavir was restored approximately 15 minutes later, while power supply in Ejmiadzin was restored at 22:26.
