Individuals Can Import Goods Worth €200 and Weighing Up to 10 Kilograms into Armenia Without Customs Duties

As of August 19, the threshold for the importation of personal goods into Armenia from non-EAEU member states through land transport and on foot has been reduced. Individuals can now import personal goods valued at €200 equivalent and weighing no more than 10 kilograms without customs duties. This was reported by the State Revenue Committee (SRC).

However, the reduction in the exemption threshold does not apply to the quantity of used personal goods imported, for which no value or quantity criteria have been set. Nevertheless, certain criteria are established under the 107th decision of the Eurasian Economic Commission's Board from 2017 regarding what constitutes used personal items. Used personal items are considered to be those that show clear signs of use during the trip and at the destination (wear and tear, absence of labels, trademarks, tags, primary packaging, etc.).

Factors such as seasonality, trip purpose, type of transport, and frequency of crossing the EAEU border are also taken into account. The threshold for the importation of personal used goods into Armenia without the payment of customs duties and taxes has been reduced in accordance with the Armenian government’s decision No. 1206-N dated August 8, 2024.
