Aliyev Accuses Armenia Once Again

The President of Azerbaijan, Ilham Aliyev, stated during a meeting with a delegation from the Turkish Parliament that Armenia is not interested in signing a peace agreement. “Armenia is deliberately stalling, purchasing new weapons from France, Western countries, and other sides, and conducting military exercises on its territory with third countries,” he said.

According to Aliyev, Armenia lacks the interest in reaching a lasting peace agreement and achieving long-term stability in the region. He reiterated his demand for a change in the constitution of Armenia, stating, “The territorial claims against Azerbaijan enshrined in the Armenian constitution must be eliminated, and the constitution must be changed.”

Aliyev also addressed the existence of the OSCE Minsk Group, expressing that Armenia's stance on maintaining the Minsk Group raises doubts. He asked, “If the conflict is over, and the Prime Minister of Armenia is declaring support for Azerbaijan's territorial integrity, then what necessity is there for the existence of the Minsk Group, which has already lost its relevance?” He concluded by asserting, “The OSCE Minsk Group and its associated institutions, which have already lost their relevance, must be completely dissolved.”
