Video: Typhoon Causes Casualties and Missing Persons in Japan
This morning, the typhoon has reached Japan's southwestern Kyushu island. Reports indicate that there are casualties and missing persons.
According to the meteorological agency, it is moving north at a speed of 15 km/h. NHK reports that at least 54 people have been affected by the typhoon, and a 60-year-old man has gone missing after falling into the water in Kagoshima Bay.
Evacuations have been ordered in certain areas of the island's prefectures, including Miyazaki, where approximately 400,000 people reside. In Aichi Prefecture on Honshu Island, heavy rain has caused landslides, destroying homes in one of the cities. As a result, 3 people have died, and another 2 have been injured.
