German Authorities Attempt to Communicate with Telegram Leadership: Reasons Revealed

German officials have reported that the country's authorities have attempted to communicate with the leadership of Telegram. It has been noted that the platform has shown insufficient willingness to cooperate.

The German side states: “We are asking questions of Telegram ... the responses are limited.” It is clarified that when it comes to countering terrorism, “there is no such exchange of information from Telegram as there is with other platforms.”
