Brief Rain and Thunderstorms Expected in Some Regions

Brief rain and thunderstorms are expected in some regions of the Republic of Armenia after noon on August 28. From August 29-31 and September 1, dry weather is anticipated.

This information was reported by the Hydrometeorological and Monitoring Center of the Ministry of Environment of the Republic of Armenia.

The wind will be southwest at a speed of 2-5 m/s, with a possible intensification during thunderstorms, reaching 17-20 m/s. On the evening of August 27-30, wind intensification of 14-17 m/s is expected in Armavir, Kotayk, and the foothills of Aragatsotn.

There will not be significant changes in air temperature. In Yerevan, dry weather is expected from August 28-31 and September 1. On the evenings of August 28-30, wind intensification of 14-17 m/s is also anticipated.

During the day on August 28, temperatures in the capital will range from 33-35 degrees Celsius, while in the evenings, the temperature will drop to +26...+28 degrees.
