A magnetic storm began on Earth on Wednesday, August 28. This was reported by Mikhail Leus, a leading specialist at the Russian ‘Phobos’ meteorological center, on Telegram, as reported by RIA Novosti.
“After 03:00, a medium-level magnetic storm of G2 class has actually started on Earth. This is the second of five possible levels of intensity for magnetic storms,” Leus noted.
According to the specialist, the magnetic storm is likely to be short-lived and will end quickly, with no increase in its intensity.
