20-Year-Old Man Strips Minor, Threatens, and Commits Sexual Assault

An extraordinary incident occurred in the Lori region on August 16. According to Shamshyan.com, it was reported that on July 14, around 16:00, a 20-year-old resident of the Lori region, identified as M.P., approached a 10-year-old resident of one of the villages with a long wooden stick in hand and proposed to have sexual relations with the child. After being refused, he grabbed the child's hand, struck him, and dragged him near a nearby tree, where, amid various threats, he stripped the child, stripped himself, and then committed sexual acts.

A 74-year-old local resident witnessed the entire event and intervened by striking M.P. multiple times. He then took the child and returned him to his mother, informing her of what had transpired.

On August 16, M.P. was found near his home, arrested on the grounds of having a well-founded suspicion of committing a crime, and taken to the territorial police station, and subsequently to the detention center for arrested individuals.

Documents regarding the incident were prepared at the territorial police station and handed over to the Tumanyan investigative department of the Lori regional investigative committee of the Republic of Armenia.
