When is the Implementation of the Unified Ticketing System Expected to be Completed?

The implementation work of the unified ticketing system in Yerevan is expected to be completed by mid-September. This was announced by Deputy Mayor Suren Grigoryan during a procedural meeting of the Yerevan City Hall.

“We are currently in the handover-acceptance phase related to the unified ticketing system. I believe we will complete this work by September 15. We will also have a new model of the bus stop, as we did not accept the previous one. The organization will prepare a new one, which will be installed by the 15th,” Grigoryan stated.

He did not clarify where the new bus stop model would be installed.

It should be noted that the project was supposed to come into effect in September 2024, but during the Yerevan City Hall procedural meeting on June 17, it was announced that it would be extended by one or two months. At that time, it was mentioned that the implementation of the system would be moved from September 1 to November 1.

In the next meeting, it was decided that the implementation of the unified ticketing system would be postponed to January 2025.
