The Paris Prosecutor's Office has provided details regarding the arrest of Pavel Durov, the founder of Telegram. It has been reported that Durov was apprehended within the framework of an investigation that began on July 8, 2024.
Moreover, it has been noted that Durov may remain in custody until August 28. He faces charges related to 12 criminal offenses.
Recall that Pavel Durov was arrested after being apprehended at Le Bourget Airport in Paris. He arrived in France from Baku on a private jet.
Earlier, Reuters, citing the French police, reported that Pavel Durov is accused of refusing to cooperate regarding financial and cyber crimes on Telegram.
