Elderly Man Who Threw Apple at Nikol Pashinyan Released from Detention but Charged

The elderly man who threw an apple at Nikol Pashinyan from the 9th floor of a building has been released from detention, but he will continue to face prosecution.

Today, it was reported by "Pastinfo" that opposition lawmakers attempted to visit the elderly man held at the police detention center, but were informed that he was not there. It has been revealed that the man has been released from the detention.

The Investigative Committee has stated that he has been charged under Article 297, Part 1 of the Criminal Code of Armenia. A preventive measure has been chosen, forbidding him from leaving, and he has been released from detention.

Remember, the extraordinary incident took place in the Kanaker-Zeytun administrative district. According to ArmLur.am, 71-year-old Albert Arstamyan, upon seeing Pashinyan, took an apple from his home and threw it in his direction. The elderly man was arrested on suspicion of hooliganism.
