Accident in the tunnel from Khanzhyan Street to Heratsi Street: One dead

At 00:12 on August 25, the National Center for Crisis Management received a call that an accident occurred in the tunnel from Khanzhyan Street to Heratsi Street in Yerevan, and rescue assistance was needed.

A firefighting team from the Emergency Situations Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs and a rescue group from the specialized rescue operations center rushed to the scene.

It was discovered that a collision occurred between a “ZIL” (driver: A.H., born in 1996) and an “Opel” vehicle. There was a gas leak from the “ZIL” vehicle.

The rescuers closed the gas valve of the “ZIL” vehicle and extracted the driver of the “Opel” vehicle, who was subsequently transported to a medical center. Emergency medical personnel reported the death of a passenger in the “Opel” vehicle.
