Zelensky Posthumously Awards Parajanov with the 'National Legend of Ukraine' Honor

The President of Ukraine, Vladimir Zelensky, has awarded the 'National Legend of Ukraine' presidential awards to a group of individuals. According to Armenpress, the award has been posthumously awarded to filmmaker, screenwriter, and collage artist Sergei Parajanov, as well as singer Nina Matviyenko, who are both recognized as People's Artists of the USSR and the Armenian SSR.

As reported by Analitikaua.net, among the awardees are American businessman Howard Buffett, fencer Olga Kharlan, boxer Oleksandr Usyk, composer Igor Poklad, constructor Oleg Karastelyov, surgeon Vitaly Khmel, and others. A total of 11 individuals received the award.

“It is an honor for me to award the true legends of Ukraine. We celebrate everyone who provides strength and inspiration to our fighters every day. They are the people who bring glory to Ukraine by reinforcing our defense and inspiring all citizens of Ukraine,” Zelensky stated.
