Four Staff Members Killed at Volgograd Prison

At the No. 19 prison in Volgograd, inmates have taken eight staff members and four convicts hostage. This information has been reported by the Federal Penitentiary Service of the Russian Federation.

According to the report, four staff members have been killed, and four others have been injured. It is noted that none of the employees involved in the operation to liberate the hostages were injured.

The agency has promised to provide necessary assistance to the families of the staff members who were injured during the hostage situation. It is recalled that four inmates had attacked the staff, taking them hostage. Special forces later neutralized the hostage-takers.
