Video: Flooding Begins in Islam's Holy City
Record rainfall continues to hit the Arabian Peninsula. Severe flooding has begun in the Hijaz region of Saudi Arabia, specifically in Medina, regarded as the holy city for Muslims, due to storms and heavy rain.
Weather anomalies in Saudi Arabia have persisted since the beginning of the year. Videos showcasing the flooded Medina have been circulating on social media. Reports also indicate that lightning struck the Abraj Al-Bait Clock Tower in Mecca.
