Russian Forces Take Control of Mezhevo Village in DPR: Ministry of Defense
The "Center" Russian military group has liberated the village of Mezhevo in the Donetsk People's Republic. This was reported today by the Russian Ministry of Defense.
According to the statement, "As a result of successful operations by the units of the 'Center' Russian military group, the village of Mezhevo in the Donetsk People's Republic has been liberated." The Russian Ministry of Defense had announced the day before that the units of the 'Center' had also liberated the village of Zhelannoye in the DPR.
Recall that on the early morning of February 24, 2022, Russian President Vladimir Putin announced a decision to conduct a special military operation against Ukraine, citing requests for assistance from the Luhansk People's Republic (LPR) and the Donetsk People's Republic (DPR).
Combat operations in Ukraine continue to this day, with the Ukrainian forces regularly shelling and attacking Russian border regions, particularly Belgorod, Bryansk, Kursk, and Voronezh.
