Free One-way Ticket: Hungary Threatens to Send Migrants to Brussels

Hungary has threatened to send migrants directly to Brussels if the European Union interferes with Budapest's fight against the flow of illegal immigrants. This was reported by TASS, citing statements from Gergely Gulyás, head of the Hungarian Prime Minister's Office.

“If Brussels wants migrants, it will get them. We will provide them with a one-way ticket to Brussels,” Zoltan Kovacs, Secretary of State for International Communication and Relations at the Prime Minister's Office, quoted Gulyás.

Previously, Prime Minister Viktor Orbán stated that Budapest does not intend to negotiate any agreements with the EU on migration issues in the coming years. Instead, the government will focus on protecting the national border from foreigners and “Brussels bureaucrats,” Orbán summarized.

Earlier, the European Court of Justice had fined Hungary for regularly failing to comply with EU regulations on accepting migrants.
