Georgian Government Plans to Construct New Highway to Armenia
Lilit T.
The Georgian government is expropriating land from private owners in the Marneuli region for the construction of a new highway from Rustavi to Sadakhlo, extending toward the Armenian border. This was reported by 'Novosti Georgia,' with the relevant order from the Minister of Economy published in the Legislative Bulletin.
The new highway, which will run parallel to the existing road, will feature four lanes and have a length of approximately 30 km, including 11 bridges and crossings. The construction is expected to cost 250 million euros.
The minister's order can be appealed within one month at the administrative chamber of the Tbilisi City Court.
