Water Prices Will Not Increase in 2025, Says Veolia Water's Application to Public Services Regulatory Commission

Veolia Water will maintain its current rates for 2025. The company has submitted a request for rate adjustment to the Public Services Regulatory Commission of Armenia. This information was reported by the commission's press service.

The commission noted that Veolia Water LLC submitted a request for the adjustment of water supply and wastewater treatment service rates for 2025 on August 9, which has been accepted for review.

“The base rates are subject to adjustment, taking into account the following factors: the volume of retail water supply, inflation, changes in electricity tariff supplied to Veolia Water LLC, and a decrease in additional revenue from the use of the water system for other purposes and supplying drinking water for irrigation,” the commission's press release stated.

The commission will make a decision within 80 working days.

It is worth noting that the fee for the retail provision of drinking water and wastewater treatment services for customers of Veolia Water LLC is 180 drams, while for other subscribers, it is 205.992 drams.

Recall that on March 28 of this year, the Government of Armenia allocated a 1.1 billion dram subsidy to Veolia Water LLC to keep the rates for drinking water and wastewater treatment services unchanged for consumers using retail services in 2024.
