VIDEO: "Who needs Armenians besides us? No one," Lukashenko

Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko has stated that some post-Soviet countries seek to gain advantages from Russia without offering anything in return. He made this assertion during an interview with the "Russia" TV channel.

He has allowed himself to make another unacceptable and rude comment regarding Armenia. "Who needs Armenians besides us? No one. Let them develop their economy and figure out their resources. What France or Macron? Tomorrow he will be gone, and everyone will forget about Armenia," Lukashenko said.

The Belarusian president noted that they are essentially in the same "boat" with Russia. "If it capsizes, we will sink together. It is pointless to hide our allied relations. We do not act like some other countries that only want to take from Russia without giving anything in return," he said.

According to him, this situation cannot continue. "Let’s be together. The time is not far off when you will have to turn to Russia for support. In times of crisis, as happened in Kazakhstan, everyone turns to Putin for help. And we (CSTO) responded swiftly by sending forces there and calming the unrest," he noted.

He expressed confidence that in extreme situations, the CIS countries would once again turn to Russia and Belarus for assistance.

The Belarusian president emphasized the importance of maintaining economic ties in the post-Soviet space. "Who is expecting products from Kazakhstan or Uzbekistan in America or the EU? No one, they aim to sell in Russia. We have a common market, and it is unwise to lose it," Lukashenko added.
