In the capital of Jordan, Amman, during the World Wrestling Championship for athletes under 17 years of age, Seyran Kirakosyan, representing the Armenian wrestling team, has made a successful start to the competition. Kirakosyan gained a confident victory in his opening bout, defeating Azerbaijani wrestler Abdul Hasanov ahead of schedule.

It is noteworthy that Kirakosyan is the reigning European youth championship runner-up. The tournament will take place from August 19 to 25, with a total of 576 wrestlers participating.
