Iran and Armenia Emphasize the Establishment of Stability and Security in the Region and Borders: Kanani
The spokesperson for the Iranian Foreign Ministry, Nasser Kanani, addressed reporters during a recent press briefing regarding how Iran views the sale of weapons to Armenia by the United States. When asked about Iran's reaction to this issue, Kanani dismissed such claims, stating, 'I have no factual information regarding what you mentioned and I cannot comment based on published news.'
He also touched upon Armenian-Iranian relations, affirming, 'It is important to note that the relations between Iran and Armenia are friendly and constructive, and both countries have a mutual will to develop comprehensive relations. Iran and Armenia emphasize the establishment of stability and security in the region and at the borders.'
In response to another question, the diplomat noted that they do not comment on Armenian-American relations but approach the role of the United States in the region with skepticism: 'We approach the role of the United States in the region with skepticism, particularly regarding the military presence of this country. This relates to the historical reality of the destabilizing activities of the American government in the countries of the region,' stated Nasser Kanani.
