Blinken Arrives in Tel Aviv as Part of Middle East Visit
U.S. Secretary of State Antony Blinken has arrived in Israel ahead of negotiations concerning a ceasefire and the release of hostages in the Gaza Strip. He is scheduled to meet with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, Defense Minister Yoav Galant, and President Isaac Herzog on August 19.
The official described these talks as "probably the best, perhaps the last chance" and urged all parties to reach an agreement.
On August 20, Blinken will travel to Egypt.
